The sales analyst is tasked with a variety of efforts relating to increasing overall sales. This primarily involves analyzing past sales data and market trends, and then using those analyses to produce sales forecasts and strategies. They also examines a company's production, distribution, and marketing systems to address possible shortcomings. The sales analyst may coordinate with marketing teams to create promotional activities and suggest other methods to boost sales. The sales analyst must communicate with vendors and outside clients to coordinate new marketing efforts.
