Store Manager (Unspecified Type) in Phoenix:
"It's a fast paced fun environment."
Pros: I like my customers and the challenges they present to me. It's a good feeling helping people in unexpected situations. Most people come to a parts store dreading the thought of spending money on something that they have to buy for a vehicle that their families depend on. It's nice to show them options when available to help them make a more informed decision. Most customers leave happy because they were given wrong information by inexperienced people trying to make a sale that is unnecessary.
Cons: I miss a lot of family time with my children. I work 60+ hours a week in stores staffed with "skeleton" crews. There also doesn't seem to be any way to move up in my current employer.

Pros: I get to build up my team to be the best they can and I get to make a struggling store grow. I love helping customers and enjoy seeing them find that treasure or item that they have been looking for. Getting to know people and hear their stories is always a plus.
Cons: The stress can be crazy at times, and some customers are even crazier. I have been threatened with violence, belittled, called all sorts of names, etc. Sometimes it feels like a bit much, but it can be managed.
