Micro-Management.
Human Resources (HR) Manager:
Be prepared for the ED to involve herself in every aspect of decision making within the organization. Decisions will either be second-guessed or delivered to you for implementation. While the mission and goals of the organization are excellent, the leadership is quickly distracting employees from their participation in attaining these goals. Your success and ability to implement needed change will depend on you taking strong stances for decisions and the decision-making processes that would be viewed as insubordinate in other organizations. Expect the key concern to always be risk management. You must learn to be completely risk-averse, if not already this type of person.

Stress Management.
Human Resources (HR) Manager:
Advancing at work is not harder, but is more stressful. Need to learn how to cope with this as much as the skills to undertake the work. Study yourself to see the triggers of when you are getting stressed. Then develop strategies for how to cope with this. Organising and planning make you feel more in control and reduce stress. Whenever I am getting stressed, I take a quick break, tidy my desk and update my to do list, checking the priorities. 5-10 minutes but helps avoid plenty of wasted time from poor stressed decisions.
