Job Description for Environmental Engineering Technician

Environmental engineering technicians are responsible for establishing, reviewing, and implementing procedures for evaluating activities which have measurable impacts on the environment, such as industrial operations, hazardous spills, and other forms of pollution and contamination. These technicians often serve as support personnel for environmental engineers and work regular hours inside a lab, though some may work shifts at different times of the day or night.

  • Evaluate and report on environmental and overall plans, specifications and maps.
  • Maintain inventories, calibrate equipment and ensure smooth operations.
