Software developers for games must stay up to date on relevant technology, trends, and best practices, incorporating developments into their work as needed. Additionally, these professionals are responsible for debugging games, which may involve test users reporting flaws that developers work to fix; for some software developer positions, debugging is the principal task performed. The software developer may also be responsible for finding ways to make games more user-friendly.
