The most generous salaries among SF State alumni are reportedly earned by Senior Software Engineers, whose median earnings come to $130K, followed by Accounting Managers (approximately $90K) and Human Resources Managers ($87K). Administrative Assistants get the short end of the stick when it comes to salary; grads report making an average of $37K in this job.


Rather than relocating after graduation, many SF State alumni (more than two-fifths of) end up finding permanent jobs in San Francisco. SF State grads also flock to Pleasanton, Calif., which is home to salaries significantly above average (median pay is around $101K). On the flipside, the lowest-paying city popular among SF State grads is Los Angeles, Calif. (median compensation is about $55K). Degree Major

A graduate with a B.A. in International Relations from SF State can rake in a whopping average $106K per year, more than any other degree from this school. Those holding a B.A. in Fine Arts are less fortunate in terms of earnings, bringing in $40K on average per year.
