A sales and marketing director is responsible for the planning and implementing of sales, marketing and product development programs. Responsibilities include developing and managing sales and marketing budgets, creating strategic marketing plans, ensuring proper product positioning, packaging and pricing, and creating periodical sales reports. The goal of the sales and marketing director is to maintain a satisfactory profit-loss ratio, have control of marketing results, and create and maintain relationships with key strategic planners and industrial influences.
