Clinical office managers ensure that patients are treated in the most efficient manner possible. In addition, they oversee clinical billing, record storage and categorization, administrative duties, and ensuring the office adheres to best practices and standards. The clinic office manager may oversee and help administer a staff to achieve these goals, and he or she is likely to perform interviews with applicants and have some say in hiring as well. The clinic office manager helps set schedules for clinic personnel and visiting patients alike. The manager works with the medical professionals to find the most cost-effective balance for patients seen in a day and medical staff's workload. The manager helps train personnel in records and data entry and often performs these duties as well. They also serve as a point of contact for phone calls and other correspondence with insurance providers.
