As part of the sales support team, sales support managers handle order process activities, package coordination, and support for escalated customer-service issues. They keep accurate records of receipts, invoices, and items sold in a company database. They are in charge of motivating other sales staff to increase their sales, as well as maintaining excellent business relationships with internal team leaders, external partners, and vendors. Sales support managers provide performance reviews, facilitate training efforts, and act as a mentor to implement improved sales techniques.
A bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, or a similar field is required for this position. In addition, previous managerial and customer service experience is necessary. Sales and leadership certifications may be preferred. Sales support managers must have strong communication skills, organizational skills, and the ability to multitask on a variety of projects.
