Creative services managers are in charge of managing creative output - from concept to production - for their organization. They are responsible for developing ideas and coordinating with a variety of department executives to ensure a proper vision. They present design concepts and creative content to executives and clients, and then subsequently manage a team of creative professionals to meet project goals. Creative services managers delegate tasks, hold regular status meetings to track progress, and analyze the project throughout the development process. Creative services managers produce briefs and creative materials to use in future advertising campaigns. They also research customer needs and industry trends, as well as handle their departmental budget and ensure timelines are followed. Creative services managers use a personal computer with creative production software to manipulate digital files and make corrections as needed. They work closely with marketing agents and traffic coordinators to ensure product or service compliance. Generally, creative services managers report their progress to the marketing executive or supervisor in charge of their department.
A bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, communications, or a similar field is required for this position.
