What is it like working as a Customer Service Specialist?
Customer Service Specialist in Kingston:
"Long Hours And Stressful Atmosphere."
Pros: My manager is an easy guy to like. We get along quite well. Also, having a wash-bay to clean your car in means your ride always looks nice!
Cons: It constantly feels as if the head office is leaving you out to dry. Having to make phone calls on a daily basis to disappoint customers due to website and call center over-booking. You feel very much like a "pawn" in Discount's big game. They put lots of pressure on you to meet certain expectations, but don't provide you with the vehicles to make it happen. Every day is a scramble and customers are let down on a daily basis. The pay and hours are nothing special either.
Customer Service Specialist in Mississauga:
Pros: What I mostly like about my current job is interacting with my customer. It really gives me pleasure in knowing that at the end of each shift I came in and I did what I had to do and I delivered. Not only are my customers satisfied but my manager, too.
Cons: The least thing unfortunately that I don't like about my current job is the fact that it is a 24-hour location which means we sometimes have to work until 12 at night. It's also open during public holidays which does not give you enough time to spend with your loved ones. Also the office conditions at the moment are a little bit harsh. We have construction going on. Amidst it all we have to serve our customers which I feel is very unhealthy.
