Accountant Job Description

People with the job title Accountant typically fall into one of the following PayScale standard occupations.

Examine budget estimates for completeness, accuracy, and conformance with procedures and regulations. Analyze budgeting and accounting reports for the purpose of maintaining expenditure controls.
Compile data, compute fees and charges, and prepare invoices for billing purposes.
