If you are a bus driver and not in a Union, you are in a bad position. Most all privately owned transportation companies do not make a profit unless subsidised by the government. Therefore they attempt to maximize profit any way they can, as ANY business would. One way is to keep a bus driver and mechanic's pay at the minimum.
