Job Description for Category Management Director

Category management directors develop sales strategies, as well as train and help develop employees so that they can put these ideas into practice. On a day-to-day basis, these directors are responsible for managing budgets, developing strong relationships with clients, analyzing data, and overseeing special projects. They are also in charge of developing retail data systems and modifying them as needed, as well as working with retailers and internal staff to make strategic decisions related to their brand. Category management directors must be able to work effectively with executives, colleagues, subordinates and any external partners as well.
