Customs compliance managers help manage compliance matters in a customs environment, such as reviewing objects, packages, and other materials to verify that they meet standard regulations to prevent delays at customs entry points. They typically work in an office setting and use a personal computer to process information and must be proficient with Office applications to communicate, receive up-to-date information, and download forms for compliance.


Customs Compliance Manager Tasks

  • Cultivate relations with government and customs entities to encourage communication.
  • Lead, evaluate and make recommendations based on audits and identified risks.
  • Review and update customs documentation, including declarations and coding.
  • Create and update customs and regulatory policy, documentation and processes.
  • Support and train staff on regulations, policies and best practices.
