Medical science liaisons are clinical research professionals who are responsible for interpreting logical and therapeutic data and building connections between individuals and organizations, such as industry officials and medical professionals. They work in healthcare and are often employed at managed care, biotechnology, medical device, and pharmaceutical companies. Medical science liaisons present data from clients to healthcare organizations and professionals, which may include hospitals, pharmacists, and general practitioners. They identify and present research opportunities when available to support clients' products and customers. Additionally, medical science liaisons help develop protocol and administer proposals when necessary, as well as train sales personnel, providing them with up-to-date knowledge of products and its uses.


Medical Science Liaison Tasks

  • Provide timely and relevant updates, scientific support and responses to scientific or medical inquires related to products.
  • Responsible for establishing and maintaining clinical/scientific relationships with key opinion leaders, researchers, coordinators, laboratory managers, and other members of the scientific community.
