Job Description for Payroll Administrator

A payroll administrator is the person who is responsible for ensuring that all employees within an organization are paid in an accurate and timely fashion. This is a position which will generally work in an indoor office environment. This administrator will generally keep weekday, daytime hours, though some overtime or extended hours may be necessary. A payroll administrator will generally work with other office personnel, as well as accounting and human resources personnel.

"Stress level."
Pros: Challenging as I had to figure out the salary program myself and still learning everyday as I work independently and basically setup procedures that works best for me.
Cons: Not getting the relevant co-operation from co-workers in that they do not meet deadlines and always hands in documentation at the last minutes, which put me under a lot of pressure.

Pros: I have been involved in development of programs using Excel and Access to complete are accounting in the most efficient way. The programs that have been developed have allowed the company to try new ways of working sales teams around the United States. We can quickly see the cost value in new sales teams. My work is very challenging as I look to new and more efficient ways to accomplish manifests, inventory control, and payroll taxes.
Cons: The CFO does not control all aspects of the finances making it hard to locate and plug profit leaks. To counter that the CFO can not pay his team their true value.

Pros: I love being close to home. I love that I can be flexible with my schedule, to a point. I love our company picnics.
Cons: The unfairness in pay between the men and women is uncalled for. The lack of care or intent from others in the company hinders me from completing tasks.
