Managing a pizza store requires not only an understanding of the products being sold and delivered, but it also requires the manager to oversee additional financial and employee-related tasks and orders of business. Hiring/appointing assistant managers, team leaders and shift leaders is another responsibility of a pizza store manager. Pizza store managers also handle the scheduling and hiring of employees, managing budgets, ordering the proper amount of inventory, reviewing inventory usage, profits and expenses. Pizza store managers also stay informed of market research, trends and newly-released foods and products that are available. The more involved the manager of a pizza store is when it comes to new foods and ingredients, the easier it is to outsell potential competitors.
