Directors and producers work in an office environment overseeing a group of employees to make sure that their work meets company standards. They meet regularly with management to establish goals and procedures, continuously making sure that satisfactory progress is being made. In addition, a director or producer meets with lower-level employees to address any concerns they might have and to get input on how to make processes run more smoothly. Depending on the industry, a director or producer also works directly with clients.
