A manufacturing production planner makes sure that each day's scheduled run of items occurs without incident. They order materials, as well as make sure the manufacturing area has adequate lighting and environmental conditions; for example, this may include making sure that the area stays at a particular temperature. The manufacturing production planner must make sure that all product are of high quality; if the items aren't of high enough quality, the planner must ensure they are properly disposed. The planner also keeps up with demand, forecasts other company needs, and ensures the company is ready to ship product at all times. They also conduct periodic checks of inventory.
