Supplier quality engineering managers are responsible for managing quality and engineering specifications on behalf of their company. They are in charge of providing quality-management leadership across multiple departments, addressing performance and helping make improvements to increase customer satisfaction. They use a personal computer to keep track of supplier records, as well as quality issues that need to be addressed. In addition, supplier quality engineering managers communicate about engineering problems with suppliers to resolve them in a positive manner. They need to work well with other managers and share important information to reach all engineering and quality objectives in a timely manner; however, they also need to perform effectively by themselves with minimal supervision.
