The health care services industry, clinical care, and the education industry are just a few of the areas in which TWU grads find work. The most highly represented industry among alumni is the health care industry. On the other end of the spectrum is the real estate property management industry, which attracts less than two percent of TWU alumni. Graduates of TWU earn about $59K on average.


The number of female graduates who responded to the survey outweighs the number of men; the female-to-male ratio is more than 3 to 1.


TWU grads who become Quality Management Directors are compensated well above average — these folks are top-earners among their graduating class, making an average $107K yearly. Also notably well-paid are Family Nurse Practitioners and Directors of Nursing; their salaries approach $106K and $85K, respectively. Sliding in near the bottom are Payroll Managers, who report earnings of around $48K.


A large number of students head to Dallas, Texas after college. With a median salary of approximately $107K, San Diego, Calif. represents the highest-paid city popular among TWU grads. On the flipside, the lowest-paying city popular among TWU grads is Fort Worth, Texas (median compensation is $40K). Other popular cities for TWU alumni include nearby Houston, Texas and Denton, Texas.

Degree Major

Former Pioneers who fare the best in terms of salary hold a Master of Science (MS), Occupational Therapy (OT) and earn a median salary of around $105K per year. The degree that warrants the lowest level of financial compensation is a Bachelor of Science in Family Studies ($35K on average annually).


Proficiency in Customer Service is common among TWU alumni, and when it comes to using it on the job, less than ten percent of former students report doing so. Former Pioneers with Leadership abilities can expect to make 33 percent more than their former classmates ($79K). Budget Management, Microsoft Excel, and Acute Care are desirable skills as well.

Benefits and Perks

Only two-fifths of alumni earn paid vacation and just one-fourth of alumni get paid sick time. A strong majority of respondents have medical plans, and a fair number of alums have dental insurance. A strong majority of survey participants report contributing to a 401(k). Texas Woman's University grads also enjoy benefits like life insurance, a casual working environment, tuition reimbursement, and a company-subsidized cell phone.
