Job Description for Warehouse Lead
Warehouse leads are responsible for the operation and supervision of all warehouse activities. They ensure all employees and activities are operating within designated safety standards, as well as make sure all stock is received and processed in accordance with proper procedures. Other duties include processing and requisitioning supplies; delivering, processing, and packaging merchandise for shipment; and assisting with any security measures necessary. Additionally, warehouse leads are responsible for training, scheduling, and supervising subordinates. They ensure sufficient staffing to handle their workload during shifts, as well as review and ensure all work is conducted in the proper manner. This position generally requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least two years’ experience in a warehouse environment.
