Job Description for Agency Recruiter

An agency recruiter scouts out potential candidates for companies. Usually, the agency recruiter works for an outside staffing agency. The agency recruiter may go over applications in order to pick out potential candidates. Then the agency recruiter often has to carry out interviews in order to determine the best candidates for the job. Some of these interviews may be in person, while others may be over the phone or via video conference.


Agency Recruiter Tasks

  • Establish and maintain relationships with hiring managers to stay abreast of current and future hiring and business needs.
  • Contact applicants to inform them of employment possibilities, consideration and selection.
  • Perform searches for qualified candidates according to relevant job criteria, using computer databases, networking, and media.
  • Seek out, interview, and screen and test applicants to fill existing and future job openings for contracted companies.
