Horticulturist Salary

Horticulturists in the United States are often veterans in their line of work, with nearly one-half bringing more than 10 years of experience to the table. Salaries slide in at $40K per year on average but can range from $23K to $55K per year. Residence and experience level each impact pay for this group, with the former having the largest influence. While just under a third report receiving no health benefits, a fair number do receive medical coverage, and nearly one-half have dental, as well. For the most part, Horticulturists enjoy their work and report high levels of job satisfaction. Women make up a slight majority of Horticulturists (53 percent) survey respondents.
