Management assistants provide administrative support to managers within their organization. These assistants work in a variety of fields, as many managers use assistants to handle tasks and minor problems that emerge during a typical business day. Generally, management assistants report directly to the manager they are assisting. The tasks performed by these assistants may vary depending on the field and organization, but some general duties include responding to phone calls and emails, performing research as requested, performing data management and reporting, and ensuring that office supply levels are adequate, as well as ordering new supplies as they are needed.
