The role of a newspaper publisher is mostly managerial, meaning their main focus is making sure the style and content of the publication is correct. They're responsible for the overall direction of the newspaper. They also tend to the day to day operations of the business. This includes recruiting workers, organizing the budget, dealing with customer satisfaction, and promoting sales. They oversee all advertising that goes into the publications as well. Depending on the company they are with, they may also be required to write or review articles, edit content of other articles, or promote publications via social networks. They must push to meet all printing and publishing deadlines.
