Pest control technicians are responsible for deploying a variety of methods to eliminate pest problems for their clients. In addition, they manage a daily work schedule to ensure completion of required company objectives and follow strict health regulations to avoid contamination. Additionally, technicians perform control applications, follow up to measure effectiveness, and perform outside sales duties as requested. Pest control technicians also support office and field staff as needed, as well as work in a team setting with other technicians; however, technicians must be able to perform effectively on their own with minimal supervision.
