What is it like working as a Store Manager (Unspecified Type) at Napa Auto Parts Company?
Store Manager (Unspecified Type) in Phoenix:
"It's a fast paced fun environment."
Pros: I like my customers and the challenges they present to me. It's a good feeling helping people in unexpected situations. Most people come to a parts store dreading the thought of spending money on something that they have to buy for a vehicle that their families depend on. It's nice to show them options when available to help them make a more informed decision. Most customers leave happy because they were given wrong information by inexperienced people trying to make a sale that is unnecessary.
Cons: I miss a lot of family time with my children. I work 60+ hours a week in stores staffed with "skeleton" crews. There also doesn't seem to be any way to move up in my current employer.
What is it like working as a Store Manager (Unspecified Type)?
Store Manager (Unspecified Type) in Charlotte:
Pros: I like the independence of the job. I like that there is always something to do. I like that for the most part I can make decisions.
Cons: I don't like that I'm expected to work non stop and that they have no problem bothering you for stupid stuff while you are on vacation. We are expected to always be in the store I feel that is a little much.
Store Manager (Unspecified Type) in Macon:
"Stress level will always be high."
Pros: Being able to interact with customers and having the power to make executive orders a reality.
Cons: Stress, long hours inability to have family time.
Store Manager (Unspecified Type) in Kansas City:
"Stressful But Rewarding."
Pros: I get to build up my team to be the best they can and I get to make a struggling store grow. I love helping customers and enjoy seeing them find that treasure or item that they have been looking for. Getting to know people and hear their stories is always a plus.
Cons: The stress can be crazy at times, and some customers are even crazier. I have been threatened with violence, belittled, called all sorts of names, etc. Sometimes it feels like a bit much, but it can be managed.
