Those with a strong background in public relations are ideal for this career, and aspiring trade association managers should have either seven to eight years of prior experience or a master's degree with at least three years of experience. They should also be able to use Excel, Word, and PowerPoint with ease, maintain good written and verbal communication skills, and stay organized and on-task at all times.
Those in this position are ultimately in charge of their companies' public relations and creating campaigns to raise awareness of what the companies do.
