A key national account manager is responsible for developing excellent partnerships with current and future clients. They must meet organizational sales goals and ensure they meet all clients' needs. Additionally, the key national account manager is in charge of managing client relationships at the executive level and collaborating with decision makers to create policies and decisions related to account management. Account managers must respond promptly to any client complaints and issues, helping ensure their relationships remain strong. This is generally a full-time position that takes place in an office setting, although overtime may be required depending on the needs of the company.
