Though a majority of grads get paid time off for vacation, only one in three grads receive paid sick leave. Most respondents allocate some part of their earnings to a company-sponsored 401(k) savings plan. Dental insurance applies to a strong majority of survey participants, and a large number of survey participants report health coverage. Other benefits awarded to Northwest Missouri State University alumni include a casual working environment, free drinks, and life insurance.
Northwest grads face average salaries on the lower end compared to alumni salaries of comparable schools; in fact, median pay is the lowest among former Northwest students, though earnings are not far from the average salary of University of Nebraska at Kearney graduates (around $51K). The University of Central Missouri, Western Illinois University, and Emporia State University are also similar to Northwest.
