Project Manager, Marketing - (City withheld for privacy), Ontario, Canada
Once, I joined in a industry conference with my boss. One night, at a very important function, I happened to be seated beside a industry leader. We talked a lot and at the end of the event, befoe he left, he said to me, I would like you to work for me. His voice was very loud and many people could hear it. Altough my boss was not there at that moment, but I got a surpriseing raise after that meeting.

Getting a wage equivalent to experience.
Respiratory Therapist - (City withheld for privacy), British Columbia, Canada
I have been with the company for almost 9 years. New employees with half as many years experience are being hired at higher wages than current employees. There is a current shortage in my occupation. How can I get the employer to pay fair wages before employees leave to better paying union jobs at hospitals and health authorities?

Obtain it in writing
Field Voip & Network Manager - (City withheld for privacy), Alberta, Canada
Working for a previous Hi-Tech employer in Ireland, I had the opportunity to receive further education and obtain an Honours Degree. At the start of my degree certification (which took 5 years) it was made clear that I was being paid a little more than half the going rate that my colleague was. I was told when I completed my degree this would be reviewed and corrected to match or be similar to his rate.

5 years later I received my degree and waited for the review of my salary.

After 6 months of waiting I went to my HR rep to ask for a review of my salary as I had completed my degree. When I mentioned that this review was promised to me at the start of my further education, the response was "Do you have it in writing?" I said "No, but both your manager and my Director said this to me when I started out on this programme."

After the meeting my HR rep went to both of these individuals and asked about this review. Neither said they had a recollection fo ever saying this to me.

Needless to say, I did not get the promised increase.

Ever since then, I take everything spoken with a pinch of salt unless I see it in writing as well.

Consistent days off
Line Cook - (City withheld for privacy), Ontario, Canada
Having a wife and child, it is very difficult to juggle working in a kitchen and family. The only way I found to do it was to, simply put, place my family first and let my general manager know this. Making sure you have certain days off or work on opening the kitchen rather than closing helps.

"Imaging life as if you were juggling balls. There are four different type of balls. Work. Family. Health. and Spirit. All of the balls are made of rubber; if dropped they will eventually bounce back up. But you will quickly find that the family ball is made of glass. If dropped, it will dent, chip, or even break."

Pay should reflect the workload
Administrative Assistant - (City withheld for privacy), Ontario, Canada
I believe that my pay should reflect the workload and responsibilities that have changed over the last year. I do not receive benefits or any other income for my child and I am the sole support/wage earner in the household.

Using my well endowed body intimately at work for success
Customer Service Manager, Banking - (City withheld for privacy), Ontario, Canada
If a female has a well endowed body and very liberal with themselves, as I am, then there are lots of opportunities in the job market being intimate with male employers this is what I have done and continue to do for success from bank teller to supervisor customer services.
