Executive pastors must be responsible and able to lead others, as they are tasked with leading a religious staff as well as the direction of a church and accomplishing the mission of the church's statement. These activities can range from group activities and pastoral care to arts and crafts and working with children and youth. They typically work indoors, but may also be involved in various outdoor activities.
