Job Description for Yoga Teacher

A yoga teacher is a fitness instructor skilled in various forms of yoga. Yoga teachers typically help their students learn and practice techniques to improve physical flexibility and movement, as well as meditative techniques. Many yoga teachers work with small classes, but they may also do one-on-one instruction. Generally, yoga teachers employed at fitness and wellness centers, where they lead classes at intervals throughout the day; students are generally members of these centers who are expected to furnish their own yoga mats and wear proper workout attire. Teachers may also work specifically at yoga studios or other types of organizations offering yoga classes.
