Call Center Team Lead Advice

Q: What do you wish you knew about your job when you first started out?

Call Center Team Lead in Greenville:
"You don't want to work here."
This company was built by 2 friends who grew up together. One friend, however, sold 51% of the stock, and his partner was fired, and completely ruined. There is not 1 woman in a position of authority within this company. I have not received a raise in 3 and one half years, and have been told, "that'll never happen!" when I asked for an increase earlier this year. They wring you out, make you feel like you haven't contributed anything every day. In 5 plus years, I have seen every Civil Rights violation in the book, by the COO, and managers. They utilize your prepaid net 10 phone as the contact tool required to communicate with the field, because their phone system is crap, and they do not compensate you. They have huge firing lotteries when they screw up contracts due to disregard. There is no system for doing things. EVER. There is no promotional or financial advancement. It is a frustrating lost cause that you do not want. When I leave. I hate it.
