Overpaid
Corrections Officer - (City withheld for privacy), New Jersey, United States
In all honesty, I have to say we as corrections officers are very well paid, bordering on overpaid, at least here in NJ. I would never complain of such a thing, just putting out the truth. I cant think of many other jobs where you can make over 100k within a few years(without overtime), without a college degree. On top of the great base pay, we have almost unlimited overtime whenever you want it,great benefits/pension, and very generous vaction/sick/personal/holiday pay. God bless the Unions!
