It's decent.
Operations Manager:
Pros: People and the fast-pace environment.
Cons: The amount of hours worked and pay.

Flexible hours, interesting and varied work.
Operations Manager:
Pros: My boss is very clear and communicates his priorities well. That makes it much easier for me to delegate tasks given to me and communicate the appropriate priorities to my subordinates.
It is a very small business (<5 workers), and so the culture is very casual and my hours are flexible, so long as I schedule them a week in advance.
Cons: When we go into panic mode, when I or someone else misses something and I have to scramble to pick up the pieces. Regardless of how it happened, making sure it doesn't happen again in a non-confrontational way. I also dislike doing any customer service work (especially phones), which I have to do occasionally when one of my employees is unable to come in to work that day.

How bad the pay will ALWAYS be.
Operations Manager:
I love what I do. Yes, its stressful, what job isn't at some point. The pay sucks. Yeah, min. Wage has gone up. I feel as thow I am worth more than they pay me. Especially with all the work we managers do there. Then to top it off I make about 60 cents more than a front end associate, which is customer service and watches over the front. Yup, that's sad. Also, they don't pay you for all the blue law holidays. Bull shit! But, I need my job so I can't say anything. The sad thing is, I process payroll for my store. Other than that, it is a great place to work if your just looking for a pt job. Defnitly do not take this job if you have to support yourself. You can not on their salary. Not even in my shoes. I'm stuck and it sucks!

New responsibilities.
Operations Manager:
Pros: I'm countinously getting more responsibilites and gaining experience. I usually have to learn how to use a new tool for a certain project, and that's challenging; and that's what I enjoy the most.
Cons: I don't have too many options to develop myself out of my current position, as the company is a little one and has no new positions/jobs to apply to. Moreover, the salary is a little low.

Work hard, be precise, be consistent, if things look like they're getting out of your control, ask for help before things go bad.
Own up to your mistakes, don't make them again. Listen, follow, and be followed.

Operations Manager:
Pros: I like my work flexibility, I enjoy achieving goals and functioning at a high level with out mistakes. I enjoy the challenge of managing people and learning.
Cons: I dont enjoy the stress at points, the long hours in our peak work periods and when older staff feel threatened by me being their younger manager.
