August 2016
High Expectation, Low Rewards.
Executive Assistant:
Pros: I get to work from home on Fridays.
Cons: I am expected to do a lot for my job but year after year I am only offered the "standard" raise of 2%. My boss constantly says that he can't run his business without me, but that never correlates into my salary. My boss chooses not the work about 50% of the week, and I am expected to handle everything at the office, but again no consideration of this at review time. My 3 year review is coming up in September and given all the work I did, and all the new responsibilities that I have been expected to take on and master with no guidance what so ever I feel I would be inline for a 15% raise, but I am sure that I will only be offered the "standard" raise of 2% again.
