Senior media planners are responsible for: analyzing campaigns; providing clients with innovative ideas; developing media strategies; using digital marketing to achieve certain goals; providing both online and offline strategies to clients; training new employees; conducting meetings and effectively teaching media strategies; managing all aspects of campaigns; and negotiating proposals with clients.
Senior media planners generally work for media, advertising, or web agencies at a desk during traditional business hours. Some travel may occasionally be required to visit clients. They must also be dressed professionally and wear business attire at all times.
Applicants for the position must have a bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field, a few years of marketing and media experience, great analytical skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to provide innovative solutions to complex problems.
