Your onboarding manager is your primary point of contact during your initial onboarding and implementation. They will work with you to kick off your relationship with Payscale and stay with you through your technical implementation, training, and initial adoption of your product(s). You and the onboarding manager will determine a joint success plan and deployment plan that fits your needs and gets you and your team up and running quickly.
Your implementation manager is your technical engineer who will help you through the process of loading your data into Payscale, standing up the product(s) you purchased, and will work through important configurations to get you up and running.
Our dedicated customer support team is readily available to assist you in making your post go live effortless. Whether you encounter technical issues, have inquiries about the process, or need guidance on generating your letters, our team is equipped with the expertise and resources to provide you with timely and effective solutions.
Kickoff Phase
Attend your Kickoff Call
In this 1-hour introduction call you will:
- Meet your onboarding manager
- Confirm your Payscale solution
- Review the phases of onboarding
- Review our tools and resources
- Get an introduction to the requirements gathering process
- Discuss next steps
The resources shown will be shared with you prior to or during your kickoff call. Please review these to guide you in the process.
Attend Requirements Gathering Sessions
In these working sessions with your project team, you’ll review your compensation program in detail and discuss which rules and functionality are required for your compensation review. Once requirements are signed off, your implementation manager will configure your site.
Review the ‘Understanding’ articles found within the Compensation Planning Resources to prepare for your implementation.
Implement Phase
Prepare & Share your Data with us
Compensation planning can require a number of different types of data ranging from employee information to salary range data, performance ratings, merit matrices, etc.
During this stage your implementation manager will guide you through how to populate and submit your required data.
Once your data has been submitted, your implementation manager will review it and provide feedback and/or ask for updates to ensure a successful data load. Your implementation manager will then begin to configure your site based on your sign-off requirements document.
Test Your Configuration
During your User Acceptance Testing (UAT) kickoff your Implementation Manager will walk you through your test site to familiarize you with the features and configuration. Using a combination of our UAT test script, and your requirements document, you will test the site’s configuration and functionality and provide feedback using our project management tool.

Prepare for UAT by reviewing the UAT Test Script and your requirements gathering document to come up with scenarios and logic that makes sense for your organization.
Raise support tickets for errors and required changes in Project Management tool.
Your site is ready to launch
After thorough testing and updates, the employee data will be refreshed, you will enable your desired notifications, and you will be ready to launch your compensation review!
Your Implementation team will work with you until 1 week after your go-live date.

As you are getting more familiar with your site, it’s time to review the learning paths in academy. These learning paths will teach you how to customize your manager landing page, notifications and letters.

Congratulations! Your onboarding to Paycycle is complete. During this final phase, we’ll make sure you’re set up for success post onboarding.
As you transition out of onboarding, we want to ensure you that our dedication to providing top-tier customer service is of the utmost importance.
At this point you’ll start working with your Customer Success Manager and our Support Team for ongoing, continued support.
